CV I obtained my MSc in Animal Biology at the University of Basel working on the parent-offspring conflict in earwigs (Forficula auricularia). I am particularly interested in applied research aiming at improving animal welfare. Therefore, I wanted to focus on housing conditions of farm animals. For my PhD at the research station Agroscope in Tänikon and in collaboration with the Animal Welfare Unit of the ETH Zürich, I investigated the effect of varying milking stall dimensions on behavior and physiology of dairy cows on Swiss dairy farms and under experimental conditions in an experimental milking parlor in Tänikon. In my current postdoctoral position at the Research Center for Proper Housing: Poultry and Rabbits (ZTHZ), I am focusing on the individuality of location and movement patterns in laying hens.
