Animal welfare, 3Rs, and Reproducibility

We are interested in the behaviour and welfare of captive animals. In particular, we study the relationships between behavior, cognition, and emotion in view of valid and reliable measures of animal welfare. We also have a special focus on laboratory animals (mice, rats) and the 3Rs, where we study how environmental conditions affect the behavior and welfare of laboratory animals, and how this relates to the validity and reproducibility of results from animal experiments.
